Help improve the service provided by Leicestershire Police.
We are always looking at ways to improve the service we provide to our communities, helping to prevent crime and ensuring victims get the support they need.
As a Telephone Researcher you will be a vital part in the ongoing improvement of our force, by telephoning victims of crime to gain their feedback so we can keep making changes to better protect our communities.
You’ll be working part time, 12 hours per week Monday to Thursday from 18:00 – 21:00, based at Leicestershire Police Headquarters. The role is office-based due to the nature of the work and therefore remote working cannot be offered.
You will be talking with members of the public who may be distressed or upset, using empathy and patience to gain the vital information we need.
Key Responsibilities
- Using discretion and sensitivity appropriate to the nature of the call and needs of the interviewee.
- Ask probing questions to check understanding.
- Recording the results of each interview on a computer.

- Experience of communicating with members of the public.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Good listening skills and the ability to ask questions to check understanding

Salary- £24,222 pro rata. For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
Vetting level: RV (please note: there is a 3 year continuous residency requirement within the UK at the time of application).
